I had a 7D and a 6D at the same time during the last volleyball season. I ended up shooting more than 90% with the 6D. I shot with it and a 70-200 f/2.8L non-IS and was VERY happy with how it performed. I did not feel like the 11 focus points were very limiting for the action. I promise you it will smoke your T1i.
